Gathering In Him

We Are Christians

In the first century, in the city of Antioch, believers in Jesus were first called 'Christians'1. And it is this name alone to which we also ascribe. We are simply 'Christians'; followers of the Way2. We take no denominational title, nor give our allegiance to any sect, party or man3.

As Christians, we are children of the God and Father of Jesus Christ4. Our faith is rooted firmly in the Father, our God, who is the Creator of all things5, Who has been declared by His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to be the one true God6.

Baptized into Christ, and raised to new life in Him7, we are His disciples, learning from His teachings and following His example8. Our lives are transformed by God's Holy Spirit, empowering us to live according to God’s will9.

Our Gathering

Following the pattern of the early church described in the Acts of the Apostles10, we gather in homes to seek God’s presence and strengthen one another in faith. These sacred gatherings focus on fellowship, prayer, studying the apostles’ teachings, breaking bread, and edifying one another with hymns and spiritual songs, embodying the church as a covenant community of believers united to glorify God.

Our weekly meetings, inspired by New Testament examples, foster intimacy and unity, much like the early Christian ecclesia that thrived in homes11. By sharing meals, engaging with Scripture, and remembering Christ’s sacrifice, we continue the tradition as God’s covenant family, rooted in the teachings of Jesus and His apostles.
